"Where Are The Chakra Locations?"

The chakra locations are of your body, not on your body. They are energy centres. First, I'll name each of the chakras, since the name gives you some clues. Starting from bottom to top (remember they're on a straight line along the midline of the body, front and back) they are:

• Root chakra
• Sacral chakra
• Solar Plexus chakra
• Heart chakra
• Throat chakra
• Third Eye chakra
• Crown chakra.

Here's a diagram of the chakras on my Buddha statue:

"Chakra Locations Are On The Midline"

The chakras are aligned right on top of each other. They are located on your subtle energy body which maps to your physical body. Each chakra affects a corresponding nerve plexus, gland, and numerous body parts.

"The Chakra Locations Of The First Three"

On the subtle energy body, the Root chakra is the foundation on which all the other chakras sit. It is located on the subtle energy body between the anus and the external genitals. It affects the legs, the bones, the spine, and the colon. It affects the coccygeal plexus and the adrenal glands. It coincides with the energetic Kidney in Chinese Medicine.

Next is the Sacral chakra. This chakra is located above the Root chakra, about 2 - 4 inches below the navel. It is located near the lower abdominal organs of the internal sex organs, the kidney, bladder, and muscles. It affects the gonads (ovaries and testes) and the hypogastric plexus. It also overlaps with the Kidney organ system in Chinese medicine.

On top of the Sacral chakra is the Solar Plexus chakra. It governs all the digestive organs, including the Stomach and Small Intestine, the Spleen, the Liver, and Gallbladder. This chakra includes many different organ systems that are in Chinese medicine. It also affects the coeliac plexus and the pancreas.

"The Heart Chakra Is The Balance Point"

It connects the three lower chakras to the upper three chakras. The bottom three chakras are related to practical matters in your life - survival, movement, and action. The upper four chakras, including the Heart, relate to the mental realms and work through symbolism, such as words, pictures, and concepts.

The Heart chakra is located in the chest. It governs the heart, lungs, arms, and hands. It affects the thymus gland and two plexus, the cardiac plexus and the brachial plexus. The thymus gland is located under the sternum or the breast bone. When you were a newborn, the thymus gland was large. For many adults, it shrinks. It is the centre of your youth and vitality.

Think of the Grinch in Dr. Seuss' "How the Grinch Stole Christmas". His heart was so tiny. He was mean spirited, but for the love of a little girl, he learned the true meaning of love.

"The Chakra Locations Of The Remaining Three"

Then comes the Throat chakra. It is located in the throat. The vertibrae are C3 - C5. It governs the throat, ears, and mouth. It affects the thyroid gland and two plexus, the pharyngeal plexus and the cervical plexus. Both the Heart and Throat chakras overlap with the Lung and Heart organ systems in Chinese Medicine.

The Third Eye chakra is located just above and between the eye brows. It affects the right and left hemispheres of the brain and mind function. If affects the autonomic nervous system (controls involuntary actions of the smooth muscles and heart and glands). This is what the Corporeal Soul in Chinese medicine does. The gland it affects is the pineal gland.

The Crown chakra is located in the anterior fontanel. It affects the pituitary gland and the central nervous system, which consists of the brain and the spinal cord. It does not influence the body but transcends it.

Where the chakra locations are, is consistent in every person, without fail. You don't have to believe in them, they exist.
